The war caused internal displacement and just in a month, more than 1 million people were internally displaced. More than 65,000 refugees fled to Sudan. 75% of the Tigray health structure was destroyed or looted including health services sites provided by foreign aid such MSF
Farmland and crops were burned as a result of bombardment. Hunger was rampant and innocent citizens becomes victims overnight and lost their lives from preventable disease, hunger and shelling. Gender based violence affected enormously women, both young and elderly.
Yodit for Women and Children Foundation stands with Tigrayans and victims everywhere. We speak up now and say, “Never again!” and believed together, we can create real change.
